Every so often, Animal Crossing: New Horizons players will find Celeste, a cute owl wearing a bow on her head, roaming around their islands.
Celeste will appear after 7 p.m. on your island. On that same night, you’ll find some shooting stars in the sky. If you talk to her, she’ll give you one of a series of special DIY recipes you can only get from her. These recipes include a variety of wands, as well as furnishings based on astrology and space.
On your first visit, she’ll reward you with a Star Wand. On later visits, she’ll give you a recipe for a furnishing item that fits the zodiac season you’re in. If you already have both the wand and the season’s zodiac item, she’ll give you something random from the rest of her collection.
You can travel to friends’ islands to talk to Celeste for a recipe as well, but note that you can only get one recipe a day. This means that if you and your friend both have Celeste in your town, you can only get one recipe from her that day, even if you talk to her on different islands.
Star Fragments are needed to make all of the Celeste recipes, with some recipes requiring Large Star Fragments and zodiac recipes requiring the same type of zodiac Star Fragment. These fragments will wash up on your beach the day after you make wishes on shooting stars.
Update (Nov. 15, 2021): We’ve updated this guide with recipes added in the 2.0 update. You can see a complete list of the recipes you can get from Celeste below.

Check to see if you have a full inventory. If you do, you'll have to drop something before she can give you a recipe. Check to see if you have a full inventory.
A player can only get one recipe from her per day on any island. If the player has not learned the current zodiac DIY for the island she is on, she will give that recipe. Otherwise, recipes are chosen randomly from unlearned recipes on the numbered list below, excluding the final unlearned recipe on the list.
When focusing on the main objectives, Celeste is about 8½ Hours in length. If you're a gamer that strives to see all aspects of the game, you are likely to spend around 37½ Hours to obtain 100% completion.
Celeste is a hard game, but it is actually surprisingly accessible. I would still recommend it for people who are not very good at platformers. If you only intend on going through the main story then it is not punishing at all in its difficulty, and does a good job at making you learn as you go along.
Once a player has gathered every DIY recipe that Celeste can currently give, she will begin to gift Star Fragments. That is to say, players need not worry about receiving duplicate DIYs from Celeste, as she will always gift one the player lacks until she runs out.
Star Fragments fall from the sky during the night and disappear at 5:00 AM the following day. They will also disappear instantly if they land in any body of water. When used in a Cooking Pot, Star Fragments will guarantee bonus effects from the meal being made.
In New Horizons, Celeste randomly visits the player's island on clear nights after 7pm, and remains until 4am. She will also always visit on nights when a meteor shower is expected.
Celeste can appear in the evenings on a random day in your town - mostly when you have a (somewhat) clear night sky, or there has been an announcement that a meteor shower will be taking place during the night.
Obtaining all 202 strawberries will give the entire save file (in the save select menu) a gold-tinted background. The easiest golden strawberry is in Forsaken City A-Side.
Cheat Mode is a hidden feature in Celeste. Activating Cheat Mode unlocks all chapters with B- and C-Sides included, all Crystal Heart Gates without the need of collecting the Crystal Hearts, as well as Variant Mode, Golden Strawberries and PICO-8.
You get a couple of random drops while you are playing (3 for this game I think), but to get the rest you have to either trade with other people (https://steamcommunity.com/app/504230/tradingforum/) or buy them from the marketplace.
The estimated time to complete all 30 Celeste achievements is 8-10 hours. This estimate is based on the modal completion time from 1151 TrueAchievements members that have completed the game.
