Playing behind the New England Patriots’ offensive line should have come with a hazard symbol for the last two seasons. Everything from injuries to questionable coaching and personnel decisions has made it next to impossible for the team to find success at quarterback.
Drake Maye could have all of the talent in the world, but it would be a complete waste if the offensive front gets folded like a cheap lawn chair from a few straight-line winds.
The Patriots have clearly made efforts to improve the situation through the draft and free agency. They signed veterans Chuks Okorafor and Nick Leverett to deals, along with using a third and fourth-round draft pick on rookies Caedan Wallace and Layden Robinson.
There’s also hope that the new offensive coaching staff and concepts can improve the overall play of the unit. Time will tell how much has actually changed, but strictly on paper, here is a ranking of all 32 offensive lines in the NFL.
We made an average of the most recent offensive line rankings at Footballguys,FTN FantasyandPro Football Network to get this list
